For today I will be playing along with Freshly Made Sketches, City Crafter Challenge and Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. The back to school theme is popular right now! So here is my card for today enjoy!

| The back to school card was created with Freshly Made Sketches in mind. I thought the triangle shape would make an excellent compass. I also like the way it is layered on the card. |

| The chalkboard background was created by applying white ink to a paper towel and spreading it horizontally. I wiped it again with a clean towel for the final result. |

| Above: Visual texture is absolutely evident on the books.The apple provides texture with an embossed texture of a die cut I just didn't take the pieces off. Keeping them in provides lots of interest. Below/Left: I made these set of cards for the teachers tomorrow. After stamping the sentiment I stood back and thought, 'humm, that could be looked at few ways'. Hopefully, they perceived as words of encouragement. Bottom/Right: A detailed shot showing part of the set of cards. |
Challenges Entered:
My kiddos are in bed awaiting tomorrow morning, the first day of school. Both are nervous and excited. As for me, it is bittersweet. It seems like yesterday when they were babies now my daughter is in middle school and my son in upper elementary. Time goes so quickly.
